Only Town of Carmel Residents may purchase a Resident I.D. Card.
A Town of Carmel Resident is a person who pays their property taxes to the Town of Carmel. Out of Town (or non-residents) may not obtain a Resident I.D. Card. I.D. Cards are $6.00 per person.
Every person (regardless of age) participating in a program is required to purchase an I.D. Card; if a participant is under the age of 18 a parent/guardian is also required to purchase an I.D. Card.
I.D. Cards are valid for one year, January through December, regardless of when they are purchased. Senior Citizens, sixty years and older, pay no fee for an I.D. Card and do not have to renew them as long as they maintain residency in the Town of Carmel.
In Person Registration: Resident I.D. cards are available at the Recreation Main Office located at Sycamore Park.
Please bring your current drivers license (showing current address). If you have recently moved you will need to bring in a current utility and/or cable bill showing your full name and street address.
Mail In Registration: You may now register by mail! Please mail a completed Family Registration Form along with a copy of your drivers license AND a current utility/cable bill.
ALL registration forms must
include payment in full. Send all Forms to: Carmel Recreation and Parks, 790 Long Pond Road, Mahopac, NY 10541.
